Well to be honest I was so hardcore i packed my kite went home replaced my lines with wire cable drove to the storm path using my dopler radar flew my kite in its path and stood next to a tree. I filmed the whole thing with a kite cam but the lighteneing struck it and melted. And I did it all without kneepads. #

dam am HARDCORE  ;D ;D

I'm sure this is not neccessary - but (particularly for any guests to the site who may be new to kiting) the Hattster is joking here!  Never fly a kite in thundery conditions - unless you want to attract a very high voltage.  Even more dangerous is to fly near high tension electricity lines - even if you fancy the voltage, that could cause a power cut for the rest of us!! :o

Phwoar :D What a kite! Shame it took me nearly 2 hours to de-tangle lol. Loving the sport, definetly a keeper :)

Left my arms aching, and the ol' legs too lol, got a fair sweat on too :D

Can't wait to go again!

Hey Tracker, you know that Mongoose board? Would it be possible to use it as like a sand board by taking the trucks off? I was thinking that might work with a kite, do you think its worth a try?

You could try it but i think it might not be able to get an edge as its more like a skate deck than a sand board. Sand boards tend to be more like snowboards. I remember trying to use a skate deck in snow and was just slipping all over the place.
